Patient excited — walked to mailbox and back yesterday without walker (used cane). Pain 2/10 at rest, 4/10 end-range. Sleeping through the night now.

R hip flexion 105 deg, abduction 35 deg, extension 10 deg. Gait with cane: near-normal pattern, good heel strike and push-off. TUG 14 sec. Single leg stance R 8 sec. Stair test: up/down 12 steps with rail, reciprocal pattern.

Excellent progress at 7 weeks post-op. ROM approaching functional targets. Gait pattern near normal with cane. Stairs now safe with handrail. Transitioning from walker to cane is appropriate.

Reduce to 1x/week. Progress strengthening — add step-ups, mini squats, resistance band hip exercises. Outdoor walking program. Begin planning for discharge — target 2-3 more visits. Update HEP for independent phase.
